Memory Care
Guardian Angels Care Center is proud to offer a living environment specifically designed for residents experiencing memory loss. This neighborhood is designed to be each resident’s home, where everything is done in a manner that supports and serves the individual.
The Memory Care Neighborhood is composed of 18 private bedroom suites in a secure environment in which residents diagnosed with senile dementia or Alzheimer’s Disease receive individualized person-centered care in a safe therapeutic environment designed to preserve and maximize psychosocial, cognitive, and physical functioning. This neighborhood includes a secure courtyard as well where residents can participate with staff in barbecues and gardening,
All bedrooms in the Memory Care Neighborhood are private suites with an adjoining private bath and shower. For those residents who prefer a bath, the Spa located in the Memory Care Neighborhood offers a relaxing atmosphere for bathing.
An activity program designed to keep residents involved includes:
- Baking
- Pet therapy
- Music
- Dancing
- Reminiscence groups
- Specialized activity stations
- Gardening
- Individualized person-centered activities
